Our Vision...
Alleviate depression and loneliness, which are all too common among the residents of senior care and nursing homes, by providing uplifting, premium music and entertainment performances in a variety-style television series at no cost to care homes.
Our Mission...
Senior care homes often fall into two categories: skilled care facilities (or nursing homes) and residential care facilities. While the former provide medical and custodial care, the latter only provides custodial care. Financial constraints are common in many care homes, leaving little to no budget for music, entertainment and subscription services.
Senior Care Home Entertainment, a 501(c)3 nonprfit public charity in California, was established to address this issue. We provide all senior care and nursing homes with access to premium music and entertainment performances in a variety-style television series at no charge. Currently, we produce Entertaining Older Folks (or EOF for short), an hour long, cost-free and commercial-free, variety-style television series available 24/7 on YouTube. We've designed this program specifically for groups of seniors, individual viewers and families with music, comedy, magic, poetry, dance and so much more.
Senior Care Home Entertainment originated from recognizing the growing population of senior care and nursing home residents and their widespread experiences of depression and loneliness. As research shows, the power of entertainment, especially music, works wonders to alleviate depression.
The premium music and entertainment performances in Entertaining Older Folks episodes serve as proven remedies for depression. Our compassionate artists' intimate performances bring joy and foster meaningful social interaction among residents. This interaction significantly reduces feelings of loneliness and enhances the quality of life.
